Landie Sutherland

Landie who is always drawn to the sea, dreamed of becoming a marine biologist growing up, joined the SA Navy from 1983 to 1994 and became a naval officer with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  She ran various food stalls and catering companies while managing stalls at the Kamers Makers for ten years, combining her love of cooking and crafts. Passionate about environmental sustainability and violence against women & children, Landie was the perfect choice to oversee the Snymans Caterpillar Foundation NPC that Snymans Inc started in 2022 with its three-prong approach of education, environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation. If Landie is not busy with a feeding scheme or planting trees to combat climate change, she is walking the dogs on the beach or dreaming of snorkeling in the Maldives.
